Job Description

Approx. 6 - 9 hours per week, Term Time Only (sessional)

We are seeking to recruit a sessional lecturer in Psychology to join our highly qualified, professional team in the Access to Higher Education department. The teaching duties for the post could include teaching on the Access to Psychology and on the Level 3 Applied Science BTEC programme.

The role involves delivering high quality teaching and learning, curriculum planning, learning resource development, assessment of student work, feedback to students, monitoring of student progress, management of student records, student achievement and all associated administration.

The successful candidate will have a well-developed and up to date knowledge and proven skills in teaching this subject to students of different ages, abilities and backgrounds, along with a commitment to continuous professional development, putting learner success at the centre of their practice.

This role requires a high level of professional knowledge, experience and understanding of the subject area, along with a relevant degree. Candidates will have relevant previous teaching experience along with a recognised teaching qualification and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and excellent IT and administrative skills.
